Perhaps, though they seem more a force of chaos than anything else…
Prime is… it’s hard to describe. It’s an extremely rare magic. Only a handful of mortal ponies have ever practiced it.
We suppose you could say it is the direct modification of a section of reality, though that is a rather poor description of the subtle power of Prime. In the Shadowbolts, it was the binding holding the otherwise incompatible illusions and neighcromancy together.
((ooc: Prime shamelessly cribbed from Mage: the Ascension.))
Thank you. It’s somewhat prehensile, too, which comes in handy when We want to get up close and personal with somepony.

We know there are some nice anons, but since you are all faceless and generic, We by default assume the worst about them unless they provide Us with a name.
((ooc: I don’t hate anons (I think the bizarreness of some of the things they ask is fun). Nightmare Moon is the one that does. Sorry if I confused anyone.))
Sure! Though from what We have seen We don’t have much We can teach you about illusions. And the Shadowbolts used more than just illusions. The magic used to make them was complex, and involved a mix of illusions, alterations, neighcromancy, and prime.
So that’s what you were doing! We were so confused the other night…
You see?
*She teleports the anon without a destination, dropping it at some random point in space.*
We rest our case.
You can’t honestly say that beings that would beat poor Scootaloo have souls, do you?
The Shadowbolts were one of Our finest creations. Their bodies were solid illusions, perfectly real to all five senses, but their minds were crafted from some of Our loyal followers. We have always had trouble with being in more than a few places at once, and couldn’t manage to maintain them and have them behave realistically as individuals any other way.
We suspect your natural talent with illusions is what allows you to preform a similar task without the cost of a living pony’s soul.
We can’t really afford to hire anyone. We’re living mostly what We can embezzle from Celestia’s various royal expense accounts, plus the meagre salary Our secret identity earns.
