We have discovered nothing in the law that would suggest Our marriage to Corona would disqualify her. It is a chance We are willing to take.

We doubt that. The common pony makes too many assumptions about the power held by royal family members. In truth, the only threat mortal ponies can pose to any of us is through pony wave tactics, and even then that’s useless if the royal in question is willing to simply burn the countryside.

Galaxiour; I cannot say I approve, to marry without love, it is like fighting without cause or to live without reason. There is also the issue of this marriage being considered incestuous and therefore nullifying both of your claims to the throne by default.
First cousins can marry under Equestrian Law. We don’t think that will be a problem.
Such things are not without precedent. From what We have read, human monarchies nearly always function in this manner.

Galaxiour; I could refute Corona's claim to the throne. It is something I do not believe she is ready for anyway. But there is one catch, I would have to refute your claim with it, as you two are of the same birthing method. Could you make that sacrifice? Luna's rule in exchange for your dream?
We think We would feel safer with Our plan. We have talked to Arcel, and he, while not happy about it, understands that a marriage to Corona would be purely for political purposes, and would not affect Our relationship with him.
We will propose to Corona as soon as possible. We have little doubt she will accept.
