Even without this whole Arcel business, if you want to keep Twilight safe you’re going to have to convince her to give up the Element of Magic, because the way things stand everypony that comes gunning for Celestia has to go through Twilight first.

First, you're going to need to get some arcane texts on producing magical toxins, and you're going to need Arcel. Firstly, brew up the toxin and an accompanying antidote and innoculation, knock lover colt out and give him the inoculation (if you want him to be immune, at least), coat his lips and hooves (maybe his bits, who knows how serious they are) with the toxin and let him canter off back to that Sparkle slut's tree. After that it's only a matter of waiting for the inevitable. I give if five, maybe six minutes, tops.
