That sounds fair. We do know of a treasure that is quite sizeable. It is out of Our reach, but perhaps not out of the reach of a stalwart captain with an adventurous crew.
Some thousand years ago, a ship carrying treasures ‘acquired’ from the natives of Zebrica by some of Our agents was driven aground on a tiny island. There was some nonsense about the crew being driven mad by a curse or whatnot, the usual story. We’ve confirmed the ship is still there, but have been unable to find a convenient way to recover the treasure (some of which is magically unstable and cannot be teleported). The artefacts are very valuable even if merely from a historical standpoint, not to mention the fact that many of them were crafted from solid gold.
Our domain is, at the moment, entirely landlocked, but if you will agree to scuttle every Celestial Navy vessel you capture (rather than sell it and have it get back to Celestia’s hands) We would be willing to give you the coordinates of the wreck.

How do you keep yourself in lemons, anyway? As far as We know, you’ve never drawn your paycheques from Us, and you have a new foal to care for. That’s a little much to be living solely on Relena’s salary as portal master.

Well, as attractive as more money is to most ponies, We really don’t lack for funds at the moment. A thousand year old memory comes with, among other advantages, the locations of many long lost treasures, so We wont be wanting for bits in the foreseeable future.
Perhaps in Blood Moon and future Arcel’s time the economic disruption caused by piracy somehow fit into Our plans. Or, maybe We went broke somehow.

We wouldn’t have thought there would be much money in piracy these days, given the general decline in foreign trade under Celestia’s mismanagement. Is it really that profitable? Hmm… We’ll have to look into getting a piece of that pie Ourselves, perhaps.
