Well… Our original idea will not work. We cannot transfer you to a body of your own, neither a magical clone nor a biological one. The spell would destabilise and destroy you should We attempt it.

We have another idea, but We’re not sure you’ll like it.

*She turns and glares at Whisper.*

Hmm… So, it could either be a good thing or a bad thing, We suppose.

In ponies, it’s probably more likely to be a good thing, as hate would be more likely to develop in a strictly platonic fashion.

OOC: Everfree Adventures

Inspired by this blog, I’ve started work on a MLP roguelike. It’s still in the early stages of development, but here are a few things it’s likely to have:

It will be classless and, possibly, leveless. Starting out, you pick your pony type (earth, unicorn, or pegasi, plus alicorn if wizard (cheat) mode is enabled), coat colour, and gender. I’m considering adding a backstory option (like in ADOM) to give some starting perks.
The game takes place several hundred years after the show. A new villain (I haven’t fully fleshed them out yet, but it won’t be NMM or Discord) has stolen all the cutie marks in Equestria, and has placed a spell over the ponies to make them think they were always blank flanks. The PC is somehow immune to the memory spell, and goes on a quest to recover the stolen cutie marks and defeat the villain.
The majority of the game takes place in the Everfree forest, which the villain has transformed into a time-and-space defying death trap. The forest is randomly generated each time the PC enters it, and is infinite (well, practically infinite. The actual size is limited by your CPU’s available address space). The PC has to leave the forest and return to Ponyville to buy things, save, or perform alchemy.
Unlike in the Elder Scrolls games, alchemy isn’t used to create potions. Instead, it allows the PC to permanently modify their character and items in ways that I haven’t fully finished designing yet, but will be very cool.

Well, ‘not Avenger’, while Arcel and Luna both hold special, irreplaceable positions in Our heart, that doesn’t mean you should waste your energies on jealousy. Know that We love all Our loyal subjects, and do not allow the fact that We love some more than others to taint your joy at that fact.
