Oh, thank you!
And this is for you… *She gives Peach a quick kiss on the lips.*

Ah, well then, We thank you for your generosity.
barley-mops-blog asked: Hope ye had a wonderful Hearth's Warmin', Princess. And I hope ye have many more comin' yer way.

CUPCAKERRY
((ooc: The idea of getting stabbed to death and turned into cupcakes by Pinkie gets me really turned on for some reason.))

Indeed. What is the point in being a royal and a divinity if you can’t make love to any stallion you desire?
The earth is trying to fix itself. The diseases and “disasters” are all things to thin out the population. Yet we of course try to stop more deaths from happening. With all our medical breakthroughs less and less people are dying. This is not how it is meant to be. This is unnatural. We should start realizing what nature has been telling us for a while now and start taking this into our own hands. We surely wont miss a few million people. We are a selfish race. I will happily step up and die for our world. Would you?
anon please
What the actual fuck?
…I could ask the same.
ooc. too bad the world actually kind of is really
over populated
i mean come on
there are over five people in my household and not enough cash to go around
that oughta
tell ya
some
fin
((i feel the same as the op, to be honest
but i wouldn’t have the guts to off myself—i’d rather stick around and not add to the problem, whilst trying to fix it as best i can
WAIT SHIT THAT DOESN’T MEAN I WOULD RESORT TO LIKE, MASS EXECUTIONS OR ANYTHING
just throwing that out there
um
I’M A GOOD PERSON, I SWEAR))This is the exact thought process by which most forced eugenics programs and some genocidal campaigns are rationalized.
I’m not going to condemn it outright because it is a very serious problem (or at least it will be in the future, when we level out around eleven billion) but it’s quite possible that it doesn’t need to be addressed.
The simple fact of the matter is that while a lot of the natural thinning out of the population does not occur in the technologically advanced and wealthy first world very little of it’s growth occurs there either. While Europeans and North Americans (and some East Asians) are growing older they’re also almost universally having fewer children and they’re not replenishing their populations as quickly as they need to in order to maintain any real growth. The areas where this are quite massive populations? That’s areas like China and India. China isn’t so much a problem because they have what amounts to the Baby Boomer effect on steroids and their entire society stands a very good chance of imploding within the next two generations because of it.
India is a big problem because they have a primarily young population that, while in constant turnover, is still achieving massive net gains. They’ve got extensive forced (and optional) sterilization programs to address this but it’s not enough to have any real effect so far. If anyone starts a culling it will be them, but that’s incredibly unlikely. If anything expect a resource war with China or an ideological spat with Pakistan to curb their population (or obliterate it, seeing as all three posses nuclear arsenals).
Then there’s Africa, a primarily youthful but negligible population. Rapid reproduction coupled with a startling death rate results in an actually rather stable population, and so long as there aren’t any major medical advancements in the region things will stay the same.
As for the idea of the Earth ‘trying to fix itself’? Bullshit. There are just as many natural disasters now (and a lot few epidemics) as there were when we had less than a billion across the whole thing. The Earth is not sentient, it does not have some mystical defense mechanism in place. It is up to us to better manage our resources (material and biological).
((ooc: This. And, add the fact that updated figures indicate that the actual sustainable population on Earth, with reasonable if a bit conservative estimates about technological advancement, is between 1 and 5 trillion.))
