Hmmm…that rings a bell. Metallic dragons…I believe there are Metallic dragons in a land called Faerun that I visited…what is the problem in preserving their kind?
Long ago, there were two tribes of dragons, the metallic and chromatic, living in Equestria. For reasons We never payed much attention to, the chromatic dragons waged a war of extermination against their brethren, to all appearances bring about their extinction.
The hatred held by the others towards the metallic dragons is immense, and still lingers to this day. Once We tell them that the sun-hag has preserved them, the common dragons of Equestria will flock to Our side immediately.

Unless We have very much missed Our guess, all the Equestrian Dragons will flock to Our side, once they learn the secret that the sun-hag has kept hidden from them. We don’t know if the secret would mean anything to you, though.
