Worship the rightful Queen of Equestria!

*The Avenger is talking to the credenza.*

the-rusty-unycorn:

Oh, oh wow. Excuse me, I need to go laugh my ass off.

Ok, I’m back.

Sturm , what you forget is this: A GOVERNMENT RULES ONLY BY CONSENT OF THE RULED. This does not mean a Republic. What it means is that ANY government cannot exist for long if there is not enough support for it from the populace that is underneath said government. That is the SECOND LAW OF POLITICS. (The FIRST LAW OF POLITICS is also THE FIRST LAW OF EVERYTHING: Murphy’s.)

Now then. You just brought Religion into it. As a last resort, knowing that Logic will not weaken Faith. Even worse, you made it a Nationalistic Religion, which means that horrible things can happen (as what usually happens when Heresy and Treason are held to be the same). Be careful that your faith does not blind you to the facts of life. And let me tell you something: When you hold your convictions too strongly and brook no argument, you will stagnate. Stagnation leads to Decline, and Decline leads to Death. And in Time, even Empires fall if the Stagnation, the Decline, the Rot, set too deeply for it to truly survive.

And that… Is just a fact of life.

You are forgetting, again, that this is Equestria you are discussing. It’s all well and good to talk about ‘consent of the governed’ and all that, but the plain fact of the matter is that sun and moon are manifestly raised by two ponies, and goddesses have a habit of going round to atheists’ houses and smashing their windows. 'Divine right’ is not a mere buzzword, it is a fact.

pewnythepony asked: As you said your majesty, YOU don't care about "heresy" like that. But what about Celestia? Seeing that she does tolerate existence of Griffons and Dragons as their own nations, not under their rule, I am certain that she wouldn't actually care about Frau's little kingdom.

More likely she doesn’t yet know it exists. She banished her own sister over a matter of petty vanity. We don’t know what she’d do if she found out somepony was falsely claiming royal status.

((ooc: I googled Imperial Nightmare Moon.
I got this.))

((ooc: I googled Imperial Nightmare Moon.

I got this.))

pewnythepony asked: While Sturm's point IS good it has one major flaw: basing the monarchy on gods. Why? Because i we were to go by this, then pretty much EVERY SENTIENT CREATURE that is NOT a pony is a heretic. Gryphons, Dragons, Zebras. According to this way of thinking all those beings should be marked as evil and should be punished? I don't think so.

The last We checked, the Zebras do acknowledge Our divinity (admittedly as their goddess of destruction and pestilence, but still a goddess), but that’s beside the point.

As We just responded to Sturm, We don’t especially care about ‘heresy’ or things like that, unless they somehow interfere with Our goals. So long as ponies appreciate Luna’s night, and they obey Us for their own betterment, they can think whatever they want about Us.

sturmpony:

You confuse monarchies for some trashy Republic, where the government is formed and decided by the ponies it represents.

We do not live in a Republic, and that bureaucratic, over-hyped and trashy system has been proven time and time again to be a failure when compared to the purity and strength of the holy monarchy as displayed by Princess Celestia and Her court.

The monarchy draws it power not from ponies but from Gods. Celestia, Luna, the living breathing gods who control the very sun and the very moon and all things between them. They are the ones who establish royal lines. They are the ones who to whom their actions are held accountable as They are the highest authorities in this or any land.

What Frau is doing isn’t just fraud, it’s heresy. I can accept the former but the latter is a crime for which repetition and continuation without proper disavowal and repentance means death.

I will not tolerate to live the heretic scum, nor will any other good, upstanding ponies. Consider this a warning, Frau and all who would flock to her: cease this skullduggery before it catches greater eyes and less patient ires than my own.

You know, as a Goddess, We place worrying about heresy in the same category as worrying that ponies spitting at the sky will somehow hurt the sky.

While Frau is Not My Queen…

queenfrau:

the-rusty-unycorn:

I still support her claim.

Done.

And the Merc offer still stands by the way.

Well, you obviously know much more about this anyway.

I’ll still be going as Queen until Sturm actually is offended or something.

THAT’S when things get serious and the shenanigans stop.

Oh, you shouldn’t let Sturm’s complaints stop you. We don’t.

You should probably be more worried about what Our sister will think. She is the jealous type, after all, and might not take well to any competition, even silly competition.

Anonymous asked: ((Actually, there is a new Proncess coming, her name is Princess Cadence, she is based off of Princess Kate.))

((ooc: Huh. I hadn’t heard that.))

Yes, it is. It actually really is too much too ask of everypony.

That we should all just turn a blind eye as you make a mockery of actual royalty with your perverted pomp and sick circumstance, as you lie to everypony else and live a blatant, bald-faced lie!

At least Nightmare Moon has some royal inclination, some claim to blue blood. You though… Nothing, at all, just lies and lies and more of the same.

You make me sad, Frau, to see somepony so caught up in their own made-up fantasies, their little delusions of grandeur that they’re blinded to the reality of how terrible what they’re doing is.

I can’t quit now. Even my own coltfriend has given me some ‘royal’ ornaments! I am going to run this lie through, and run it to the ground. I can’t tell my guards that I was a lie, they are taught that above everything else that I am royalty!

This sick immortality is the closest to royalty as I can get, and that’s not even enough! I thought I could do it, Sturm. To just be a figure of light and joy and goodness, without the impications of Royal endowment. But no, I am just some sick, perverted, random mare with sexual prowess that could think that she can mold ponies views to make them see me as a royal.

I’m nothing, and that just makes me sick.

Question: How does “Blue Blood” and “Royalty” get their starts?

Answer: Simple. Before the first “Royal” Ruler, there is no “Blue Blood”. Just common blood. Then somepony gets declared Royalty. If the people that they rule over accept it, then the line continues, “Blue Blood” comes into place, and the Hereditary Nobility becomes Tradition.

Sturm is, IMHO, putting too much emphasis on Tradition without stopping to realize Where It Comes From.

This argument might work in some of those other universes, but this is Equestria, a place where you can sometimes spot your diety visiting the local bakery.

We, Our sisters, and Our more distant relations are living goddesses, our very selves the embodiment of divine right. The lesser nobles were granted title by us, or are descendants of those granted title by us.
