((It was also done because a shaken martini contains less alcohol than a stirred martini. James Bond is ordering a weaker drink, so he can be seen socially drinking, but not as heavily as those observing him think.))
If I pour 3 parts vodka to 2 parts pineapple juice, and shake it, there’s still going to be 3 parts vodka and 2 parts pineapple juice.
The same with if i stir it.
((ooc: According to an article I read ages ago, low grade vodka tastes less low grade when you shake it. The air added helps to break down the oily residue left by cheap manufacturing methods.
The weaker thing is partially true, since a shaken drink will contain more ice fragments, and hence taste like it has less alcohol. It still has the same actual alcohol content, it’s just diluted somewhat.))
And Arcel. *Nightmare Moon’s voice is slightly slurred. Two stiff drinks on an empty stomach in quick succession will do that. She knocks back the third one.* We want Arcel there too.
